Since it started in 1988, First Step has helped hundreds of children and their families to cope with what can be an uncertain and stressful time.

- Pre-school sessions
- Next Step (for parents and carers whose children have left First Step)
- Signposting to relevant medical professionals and organisations.
First Step encourages the development of every child it supports, to help them achieve their full potential.
As a registered charity with running costs in excess of £400,000 per year, First Step relies heavily on the support of the local community.
