The Bedford Hospitals Charity was founded in 1988 by a group of local people, initially to raise money to refurbish the dilapidated and antiquated Student Nurse Home at Bedford Hospital South Wing. Since then it has raised over £5.5 million for a number of projects. The largest was £2.5 million raised in the Primrose Appeal to build a new Oncology Unit, and the most recent has been £365,000 raised for a new Chemotherapy Preparation facility for the Primrose Unit.

Bristol charity supporting eight hospitals, including the Children’s Hospital, St Michael’s and Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre. Above and Beyond Charitable Trust organizes fund-raising activities, like sponsored walks, zip wiring and abseiling to fund enhanced facilities for hospital patients and staff.
