Second Chance Animal Trust was founded in September 1995 after the closure of the local animals' home in Norwich. With this in mind SCAT started to raise money for a new animals' home. While doing this, SCAT achieved a successful rehoming programme, including vet and pre-home checks. In July 1997 SCAT secured an animals' home in Norfolk by renting the Central Norfolk Kennels and Cattery at East Tuddenham. This gives them accommodation for 24 dogs and 26 cats. It is a dream come true - but to secure the future of the animals' home, they need money to pay for rent, food, vet bills and general maintenance. They rely totally on donations and fund-raising events. SCAT is run by a mad crew of volunteers who are besotted with the care and love of animals. In the cold wind and rain, sunshine or snow - the care is always there. If you would like to be a part of their team- a dog walker, office worker, answer the 'phone or anything - call them on the above telephone number.

the animal rescue charity was founded in 1990 by Jan Rose and Fiona Piggott with the following aims and objectives. To provide a safe haven (sanctuary) for neglected, unwanted and abandoned animals and wherever possible to treat and re-habilitate all animals including wildlife; sanctuary as we see it being a place of protection; a refuge. We are affectionately known as 'the small charity with a big heart'. Our aims are: To overcome the pain and suffering previously endured, with kindness and understanding. To treat animals with respect and compassion. To be aware that because animals cannot speak for themselves we must be their voice. To allow animals to live their life without fear or exploitation To run a rehabilitation programme, which ensures that any animal leaving us will be well cared for and afforded the affection so desperately needed in order to thrive
